SIGNS OF THE TIMES- 2013 ARTICLE

We received a request for a Quote for a New Sign from the Little League Museum in April of 2013. We told them we were very busy at the time, doing Surveys for the Santander Bank change-over. And we weren't sure if we would have time to take on the project. They sent us a rough Logo Design to go from. And right away I had an idea. I envisioned open air arch windows and pillars, supporting a Roman-style roof. To mimic the Museums Architecture- with an authentic bell-style cupola mounted atop of the Sign. Working in the evenings at 1st, we developed a Concept, Quote and 3-D drawings. We worked through it quickly and were not sure if our pricing would match their budget. To our pleasant surprise, they awarded us the job 2-days later. They said they especially liked the Windows and Cupola. The Sign is made of Cedar Beams, B-Bond Shts., Gemini Letters, Aluminum Roof and Copper Bell-style Cupola. We submitted Pictures and descriptions of the Sign and its construction to Signs Of The Times, to see if they would be interested in writing an Article about it. Since Little League is Internationally recognized. Happily for us, they did.

We at Stetts Signs, created a Full Size T-Rex Mock-Up to fit over our 1972- International Bucket Truck

in the Summer of 2007 for the local Mummers Day Parade in South Williamsport, PA. Because it is one of the biggest

parades in our local area, for Advertising purposes. It was fit over the Bucket and part of the Boom, and could be

articulated up and down. It was a Smashing hit at the Parade. Winning us 1st Place in the Commercial Division in the

Parade. Later in 2008, we had noticed the upcoming Vehicle Graphics Contest for the Signs Of The Times Magazine.

On a whim, we entered the Contest, not thinking we would actually get much out of it. But, we thought our Dinosaur

was unique enough to try. To our surprise, we were Contacted by the Signs Of The Times and were informed we had

won an Honorable Mention in the International Contest. This is very Rare, considering all of the Lrg. Professional

companies that submit to the Contest. We were very Thankful, and were able to use the Magazine Mention in other

advertising as well. Getting us a lot of much needed exposure.

MUMMERS PARADE- South Williamsport, PA

BUCKET TRUCK T-REX

In 2011, we redid the Full Size T-Rex Mock-Up Float over our

New Bucket Truck. We had to completely Remake the entire

thing from scratch. The Old one from 2007-2008, was damaged

in and during storage, so that it couldn't be reused. So we

made a New One to fit our New Truck. This time we added

"belly covering" areas, 3d effects around the eyes, a stronger

wood frame to hold up better over time. And on the Float

itself, we added Trees, Shrubbery and Sound Effects. This time

our Full Size T-Rex Dinosaur made loud Roaring Sounds similar

to the sounds from the movie Jurassic Park among others.

While going through the Parade, were able to stop from time

to time, and raise and lower the Head and Body of the T-Rex

for all the kids present. Everyone seemed to love it. Once

again, we Won 1st Place in the Commercial Division for Floats

in the Parade. Since then, we have been too busy around that

time of year to put as much effort into the Parade Float as we

did previous years. But, we hope to make a come back later.

Maybe even in the Summer Little League Parade starting 2015.
